BIBLE CLASSES

Cross of Christ offers several Bible Classes on Sunday morning and during the week.  These are designed to bring people closer to God and more dedicated to serving Him.  We offer a variety on Books of the Bible, topics, people/teachings from the Bible and more.  Below is a description of current classes.

The best and entry level class is called ‘Bible Basics Class’.  Pastor Mueller teaches this class for someone who’s just come to know Jesus to the long-time believer who needs to review.  It is a class which teaches the Bible from A to Z in a simple, straight-forward way that anyone can understand.  Questions about anything in the Bible are encouraged and answered.  The course lasts 15 weeks, meeting once a week for just over an hour.  One class just finished and another just began on Sunday nights at 7:00.  This one was designed especially for young adults.  We begin a new class about every four months or when people have asked for it.

Tuesday Morning Class-  We have this class in the education wing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday mornings after our workday.  We just finished studying ‘Why so many Churches’ and are beginning a look at Old Testament History starting with Creation.  You can jump in at any time.

Sunday Morning Bible Class-  We just finished a study of the Book of Judges at 9:00.  The upcoming class will look at ‘Current Issues and Struggles’.  We’ll look at war; situation ethics; sex as God intends it; and more.  We meet in the fellowship hall.

Groups & Other Activities

LUTHERAN PIONEERS, for both boys and girls, is the part of our church for 1st through 8th graders to explore nature, gain confidence, go on outings like hiking, biking, swimming and more.  They make crafts, learn how to appreciate and explore God’s wonderful world.  Our certified leaders have over 60 years combined experience in helping our children grow in faith and have fun.

HARVEST FESTIVAL- This unique activity is a service to our neighbors.  We have games, face painting and food for children.  Many wear their costumes (please, no scary/bloody ones—this is a Christian activity) while they slide down the bounce house or play games or eat some food.  Tickets won by playing the games are traded in for prizes.  And, we have a drawing for a tablet for the adults.  All this is FREE.
